I find whisk(e)y helps me focus on music vs endless headfi navel gazing. Roon or Qobuz also makes it fun to discover new music.

After a friend became a bitcoin millionaire he hung out on Head-Fi for a couple years. Ended up with Meze, Sus, 1266, Solitaire P and Chord TT2 with Benchmark power amps. About a month ago he concluded Summit-Fi was full of toxic people searching for perfection and swore them off.

Hmmm... I don't deny the right to spend one's disposable income as one pleases! Even in my bad-hearing state I could go out and spend $$,$$$ on a speaker system! But I wouldn't buy two or three in a month.

Maybe hifi/headphones has never been my actual /hobby/ as such.

Same i usually keep something and try to make it work unless it's really offensive. In which case i just didn't do my homework properly.
