IMO no to balanced iems in general, unless your amp is gimped se. I prefer more volume range and less hiss/noise (if applicable to the iem). I suspect many feel differently than me.

But you could get a balanced yinyoo cable for about $20 on AE and find out for yourself. Similar cable might be closer to $30 on Amazon.

I never care for balanced on my IEMs.

Good enough for me, I did not think there would be a benefit, just a hole to stuff dollars into.

Depends on the IEMs & amp. The Timeless like a bit of power. I can't speak to the zen dac but many dongles or portable amps with low output do better from the bal. jack. Good enough bal. cables can be cheap.

It’s only necessary if the source/amp sounds significantly better from the balanced out.
