I so often buy a bunch of different kinds of a certain thing online and then just get the item in an envelope with no way to know where it came from. I found the perfect material for something I'm doing with my Audeze's and it didn't come from ebay or amazon and they didn't include any information for me to buy more of it. All I have is their return address to the bloody airport near them and a tracking number.
When I was tube rolling Vali, I would print PDFs after every order confirmation as a matter of ritual. Kind of the same reason — because three or four different packages arriving at different times with random tube lot pulls is a great way to lose track of things.
yeah after getting tubes in the mail just wrapped in bubble wrap with no mention of the store name, item number, tube type or anything, I now put a message in the order notes to print out the item page and include it with the tubes. They usually listen. Often enough that if they don't I can find what it is by my history and what it's not and the pictures.
