You are right. I don’t really want it. But I do like when the community puts their own stuff on loan.

Less loaners + more nudes.

Generally, the forum seems to want loaners only from the vendors they know well (and such products mostly come from active MOTs here). Maybe encouraging and helping MOTs set up tours would be enough. I want more (outside those vendors) for the areas I'm interested.. but products I want to try out often don't align well with others' tastes.

Agree that fewer is better as long as they are chosen carefully. Also, it may just be me, but I have far more interest in headphone loaners than dac/amps.

I like @jexby's idea of a more streamlined loaner program. Less stuff moving forward, sticking to what most of the community is interested in. I think the new ZMF Caldera would be an obvious choice for most of us.

Feels like there's a universal burn out going on. I don't know about you guys but I barely have time to listen to the gear I own. I just work to much+family/friends time.

Loaners are good, but many at a time may be overwhelming in numerous ways.

Quality over quantity is always a good approach.

To be absolutely clear: I want to be able to provide the community with cool loaners we'd all be interested in. In no way is the loaner program going away. I'm just thinking that a small break wouldn't be a bad idea given the recent flood of loaners

As a Canadian, I'm sad that we don't get any cool loaners up this way, though I understand the logistics of it make it difficult =(

@Armaegis +1 on this. I would love to have some cool loaners up here. @jnak00 did a loaner of his private Jot 2 a while back and it really pushed me to up my solid state amp game here. I think loaners are really useful when you're figuring things out.
