IIRC, the Senn cable is really overpriced, so I'd probably go aftermarket if I were you. And considering how hard HD800 pads are to find right now, I wouldn't be surprised if the official cable is just as hard to get (though I guess you could get one used, unlike pads).

There's an unused original cable nearby for 80€. Considering a new one costs about 200 euros, I think that one is adequately priced.

Even the cheapest aftermarket cables seem to go for at least $100, so 80€ seems like it'd be a good deal to me.

FWIW I use only original. The build quality is only possible because they're such a large company (or at least they were)
They also differ in construction based on the era so look out.

I got mine from Forza Audioworks (Noir HPC Mk2) and like it very much. I don't need the length of the stock cable and this, combined with its rigidity meant that the stock one was annoying and was always getting in my way.

Used the old cable a lot but I am happy with an aftermarket. 3M on the stock cable was too long for me personally.
