Quick first impressions: Roon for Mac is now Apple Silicon native (which should stop the RAM hogging when running on x86 code), and so far Roon Arc is working as intended.

Sadly, those of us walled behind ISP NATs are out in the cold on this one. I hope they find a way to improve that functionality.

Qildali- why can’t you set a TCP Port Forward (firewall) on your router, pointing it to the internal IP address of Roon Core? worked for me.

When the 'Roon Arc Exploit' comes out I am downloading it and attacking @YMO 's hairy ass first....wait, I take that back, that's not what I'm going to do...

@jexby Goofy ISP implementation of CGNAT keeps a public address out of reach. Going to have to resort to some VPN trickery to make it work.

@Qildail Yeah, that’s why I thought they’d need some form of a TURN server, but they simply skipped that. Right now it works for me, but we’re getting FTTH probably next year, and as far as I saw I won’t have a public IP address then, at least not a IPv4 one. Personally, I know how to do such stuff and have servers I can use for a tunnel, but many don’t.
