Yeah, among the worst movies I've ever endured. What made it worse was that the trailer had made it look like a zany, ridiculous fun action movie, not the grinding, miserable, boring drivel that it actually was.
I liked it. It had pacing issues and a bit too much "artistic" liberties, but at least it was not a preachy, CGI slugfest. Not this directors best work.
Man, it's so fascinating to see how others perceive things and how drastically different we all process information depending on taste and preference. I also really enjoyed the film.
I'd never heard of it, but I never know what's being showed. The only reviewer whose tastes are broadly like mine, Ann Hornaday of the Washington Post, wasn't impressed.
