I edited, and went for a semicolon.

The semicolon is both overused and underutilised. It's one of my favourite bits of punctuation right next to the interrobang.

Also, I personally blame this on my inability to parse what I read correctly XD

I tend to parse as I go. As soon as I have enough words that make sense as something silly, I stop to laugh.

You gotta try it. It'll tell you how good the Senns are more so than how fantastic the SB is. It'll leave you wanting, but also something to benchmark and maybe to strive for. Or not, and still be happy with what you got.

Honestly if you have very high expectations, you’re better off trying it. It won’t meet those expectations and you’ll think more positively about your own gear

I actually go into most gear demos expecting to be disappointed since I figure that's a far better barometer of my being contented with buying them than elsewise, which likely explains why I try my best to include negatives in every impressions post I make. Seems more sensible as a buyer's guide thing.

Guess this means I should raise expectations over the next week or two before I get to get ears on it :P

@GoodEnoughGear yeah other than the final fight (which had me chuckling) Wizards was a bit meh overall. Still adored the visuals though, I'm a sucker for that sorta aesthetic apparently.

@Sqveak been a fan of his work going back a few years now, can't remember how exactly I went down that route but I think it was when I realised I knew nothing about western comics (compared to manga etc) and went on a binge there haha.

Forgot: @Deep Funk prose that eloquently and succinctly conveys idea is indeed no different from poetry. Thing is, nuances in bourbon and beer are different; the more delicate notes are obfuscated in the distillation so greater risk of glossing over.

It was simple disagreement, but presented in a kind of over-the-top way, because of the fear and mistrust caused by HF and the like. That's understandable, though it doesn't excuse any genuine rudeness. And it should, at least, have been balanced with a *mountain* of gratitude.

I was given a year's warranty upon pickup but just sending them there will be another $100 or more now. Not even sure if this'll qualify for warranty service at this point, I'm just ashamed.

Haha, must have just somehow gotten used to them on the latter over the last few years I guess. That said it's been a long while since i listened to the stereo Revolver mix so that could well just be my sanity kicking in!

They didn't really have a pan console to blend between L-R. So all you got was one track L, Mono, or R. Mixing stereo became a new thing and an pan-pot had to be invented. Jimi Hendix did it too for fun blending and panning on Axis and Electric Ladyland. And Brian Wilson hated stereo at first.

They had... a certain timbre.

In the same way one could always tell the light from the TV, shining out through the window, one also always knew that the sound came from one too.

They did indeed, and seemed to sound best stationed 6ft off the floor with a wall right behind. Not sure why but that was always the case. Might have been a measure against flooding.

Notable shaking that scared the bejeebus out of family but other than that, nothing major. They're growing more frequent lately.

Still, house is old as heck so looking at a fairly steep bill to keep things up to code I guess. She's lasted a few major shakes but a properly massive earthquake would be trouble as expected.

Hah, it's on the list of things to do. I don't have other cables with preform at the moment but I'm reasonably comfortable working with things like this. I'll just make sure to play it conservatively

I've had reasonable success using a hair dryer to relax the curve of the hook on PWaudio cables.

This is mostly going back to early reports of how there was a bit of measured variance in FR. Could just be that my ears have changed since, but regardless of cause I'm enjoying these a heck of a lot more than any other Solaris pair I've gotten ears on to date.

@rhythmdevils I got to try the 2020 version back to back and have to agree that while the smaller chassis is appreciated, the voicing isn't as much my cuppa tea haha. Also tried the IER-Z1R for like two minutes and it was likewise pain.
