I ordered some sardines yesterday. Said prime, but estimated shipping is at least 2 weeks out. But then, Walmart hasn't had them for a couple weeks already. Shipping still free though.
I live near a warehouse and normally get stuff next day or even same day. 2 days is reliable for me but probably an unusual circumstance vs most folks. Maybe 2% of packages get super delayed for no reason tho.
I bought 14 monitors directly from Amazon. 2 came next day, 8 the following day in two deliveries at different times. And 4 got lost in their system and had to be reordered. Those got to me in 2 days. So, I guess it depends.
It sort of works here. The 2 days does not seem to include the day of order or delivery though, so typically order on Monday and receive on Thursday is their "Prime Two Day Shipping".
I’m seeing fewer product pages promising 2 day shipping now, even if they have Prime. In general Amazon has been good at keeping to the estimates on the product pages, sometimes getting stuff delivered earlier
We have good coverage here in Boston metro and they generally deliver (90%) on the expected delivery date. That said, I often use Amazon Day delivery to consolidate stops at our address.
