Man, I had excellent taste in music ca. 2001: AIR, Animal Collective, Arcade Fire, Beck, Blur, The Books, Broken Social Scene, Buena Vista Social Club, Daft Punk, Devendra Banhart, Dntel, Junior Boys, LCD Soundsystem... etc.

I miss the iPod years. Streaming sucks.

The current DAPs may be better sounding, but they don't give the same joy as the old iPods.

How are you converting the Firewire, if I may ask? And very cool. :)

Still working on that. I’ve got the charger but waiting on adapters to see if it’ll still talk to iTunes.
