I got it for the camera. There's all these lists of other improvements, but I don't notice any difference. The screen feels the same, the speed feels the same. Dynamic island is just annoying and the pill vs cutout at the top of the screen makes no difference in actual usage.
I remember when upgrading an iPhone after 2 generations was like a whole new experience, but we've gotten to a point where the things they are changing aren't real world meaningful.
With mobile phones going more similar than not, hopefully people stop cycling through them like they're consumables. Waste of perfectly good rare earth metals.
Will not give up my 13 mini until literally all the apps stop supporting it, or until another mini comes out. Don't know how you deal with the weight of the Pros, it makes the not-that-much-larger size so much more ungainly.
Completely agree. I went from an iPhone X to a 13, so 4 generations basically. Camera was definitely better. Battery life was somewhat better. Screen was slightly better and performance was slightly better. That’s about it.
I updated my iPad because some apps I like don't work on the old iOS. My phone is an XS, and still good-to-go, but I am thinking of the 14 Pro. I use the camera, so maybe...?
I do think upgrading to the 12 is worth it. It's a really beautifully made device. It feels like a Rolex or something. And the camera quality is far far superior to the 10. But beyond the 12 I would wait for Apple to design something that actually affects usage and doesn't just look cool in a list of specs.
