It's not just an age issue. Take good care of your body, meaning sleeping on a good bed & pillow, sitting on a proper work chair, and exercise (walking is good). And get up to stretch every so often.
Some things that might help: TENS machine with the large pads, menthol patches (Walmart's are very strong; I like the weak Salonpas ones), lidocaine patches. Hope you feel better.
I feel your pain @Azimuth I'm having issues with my lower back, hip and leg on my right side. Goes slightly painful where I can get by on some ibuprofen and muscle relaxers, to the worse pain I've ever felt in my life and can't even get around. Had x-rays looked normal. Next step Friday MRI with orthopaedist. Hopefully nothing bad or long term.
That is not goo @HotRatSalad. But I take it that they would be able to tell a bulging disc on an X-Ray. I hope you get some relief soon. For me, I am finally back to 90-95%. Still just the littest bit of pain down low, but nothing serious. I have finally put away the heating pads for now thankfully.
