    We have a posh local rowing club. A dress code is ok, if reasonable, but this place specifically banned local-tradition smart dress.

    ... Throwing me out would have been nothing to them, but, a few years later, they denied entry to a judge, smartly dressed in kurta and veshti (dohti). Shortly afterwards, their discriminatory code was ruled illegal.
