    Probably because at higher volumes it's easier to notice the midrange dip and treble peaks! :)

    Stock, it was a bit too dense in bass->mid-bass, but with the PEQ Marv mentioned, I agree that it's very nice at low volume.

    I did also notice they were hyper sensitive to volume adjustment for the first couple of weeks, and now they're more forgiving. Could be that hearing damage though...

    everyone that has these should just buy pleather hm5 pads straight away. they're cheap and will give you a sense of potential and whether further mods are worthwhile.
