After long time without any post, my post will be: no one matches Sennheiser (or Apple) for manufacturing consistency. *cough* Focal

Don't overrate Apple here, there have been lots of terrible Macbook batches in the last year or so. I've known people who have had to return entire deliveries of the things.

So does Sennheiser (HD700, 800). My point is they are more consistent than average or probably most.

Can any of those bluetooth speakers even be on the same planet as the LSR305?

But they would be a bit easier to carry from room to room :)

If you ever get the urge to do 6x6, skip the Hasselblads and pick up a Rollei SL66, the mechanical one. They are super nice, the bellows are amazing for portrait work and have baby view camera tilt features. Also the lens can be backwards-mounted for macro work.

That sort of reaction, from people who don't go to concerts (or have never used more accurate gear), is actually quite common.

After getting the PortaPros it took me almost a week to be confident that what I was hearing was different from the FiiO EX1, and *better*. I'd say we ARE splitting hairs in audiophilia, even with transducers. You really need to be in tune with the nuances to easily discern things. Not unlike art -- If you show a Rembrandt and a da Vinci to a random lambda, what are the chances you'll get a "meh, not much different"?

I know people who swear there is no difference between DVD and Blu-ray in terms of image quality. People perceive things differently and what may be an obvious difference to some is difficult to discern for others. This is where training comes in.

I use a garmin fr230. Its great. 2-4 week battery life (depending on how often I use GPS), actual notifications that work, sleep tracking, daily steps as well as run/bike/swim support if you ever need it, and decent web / phone interface. Also, looks and performs just fine as an actual watch with always-on screen. Also, WATERPROOF. /garmingush

@philipmorgan thematically, James Nachtwey & Ernest Brooks stun me. As excellent as he is, I think Ansel is a master of darkroom and camera (technicals). The tone of his prints sets himself apart.

As a follow up to the closed Andro wanted thread, I did a close inspection of mine and did find two minute paint chips on the right IEM. It's not something I ever would have noticed unless I were looking for it specifically.

How do you keep your Andros? I babysit them as much as I can & still get small chips along the edges.

Nonetheless, I won't sell them. Probably only for a return tickets to real Andromeda.

Basically they go from the case to my ears or my ears to the case. I'm not intentionally trying to Baby them, it's just easier for me to keep track of them if they're always in the case when not in use. Probably the chips are coming from contact between the two ear pieces.

Most of that music does originate in one form or another from devotionals, which were songs sung by slaves while they worked. So yes, that is correct.
