Thanks for the input! xD I have very little experience with speakers but have any of you guys ever heard the Raidho D1.1 standmounts? I might be able to snag a brand new pair at 10K.

Woah, that is some expensive shit you're considering. Heard the C1 and it reminded me of the HE1000, both in terms of FR (bright with 2kHz dip) and presentation (way too soft to be accurate, probably from the light mass).
(Obviously coupled with distorted small speaker bass)

I mean a DIY T2 isn't any cheaper, but I still would not spend 10k on your first pair of speakers. And even then there's a lot of good used stuff for that kind of money.

I've actually heard that Raidho model being driven by a Devialet (distributor demo), even with my limited speaker experience, tbh look at something else.

Thanks for the help guys, if not Raidho, what other standmount monitors for around 10k and under would be good for me to look into?

Might be time to the cruise the speaker threads for more info since there's a lot to choose from. I'm personally saving up for the BMR Philharmonitors.. nowhere near your price point, but lofty nonetheless.

At 10k you can start to look at floorstanders. Why standmounts? Take a look at these too:

Only considering bookshelf / standmounts for now due to a rather small space, definitely not enough for floorstanders to properly breathe.

Price includes DAC and 6 channels of amplification per speaker. A fully active DSP system is probably outside what you are looking for, but then again it might be.

Ooh la la! I was originally only interested in passive speakers, but the Kii Three definitely has my interest now. I listen to a LOT of electronic, so the fact they go down to 25hz is extremely alluring haha. Thanks for the heads up, now to see if I can find a used pair!

Where my 2x15" woofers have about 0.2% distortion (87db at 36Hz), these tiny drivers have more like 20% distortion.
