Both fantastic deals, the Eikon more so (also agree the hd800 is the better headphone). If you buy the Eikon (or even if you don't) and don't like it I'll buy it from you and cover shipping to the US ;)

What's your upstream gear? If you have less ballzy stuff, then get Eikon.

Your Jot will do better with the Eikon, much better actually. I doubt you'll like your HD800 experience with the same amp...

that sounds like Munkong Board, the price of that Eikon went down so hard recently so you should grab it! (I'd like to if only i didn't make a major dac purchase a few days ago)

@manatworks Yes, found that on Munkong! I've seen it floating around the board for 3 months, saw the price dropped from $800 to $400 too. It's crazy no one here knows how good it is! If there wasn't a deal on HD800 at the same time, I wouldn't be so confused. Argh

@ButtUglyJeff Nice to know that Eikon is at least a good match with Jot, thank you! I'll be getting some mid-tier toob and a multibit dac in a few months so that kind of factors into my indecision a bit. I will have to read up more threads on here tonight...

I demo it at the dealer there but decided to go for the new open model instead, eikon works pretty well with jot on balanced imo.
Are you planning to get Gungnir Multibit?

@manatworks Saving up for Gungnir Multibit, yes, until I heard it might sound too aggressive with Jot... So now i'm contemplating about selling Jot or getting a Modi Multibit instead. :'( By at the dealer there, did you mean at Bkk Audio by any chance? Seems to be the only place here where you can find ZMF phones. I'm eyeing Auteur as well, perhaps I should just save up after all...

Yeah, i wish they are easier to go and demo tbh, they are nice enough to let me demo Yggdrasil for a few hours.
I think we have tons of portable choices here but desktop units are really lacking which making setting up a nice system pretty difficult.

@manatworks The owner told me he's moving to a bigger place soon (CTW), so that's good news if you haven't heard already. Still remember his face when I broke the news of an open-backed ZMF to him too, pretty funny. He should have one for demo'ing soon.
