Nah, I was expecting it to be too much with the HD6xx. I have my own tastes like yours. I have the HD600s on right now, and this is a good match since it reduce any possible treble issues people have with the HD600.

I like the HD600, Elex, HD800, etc. with that combo. HD6XX would need to be modded for less midbass for that chain to work IMO.

@purr1n agreed. I had a feeling before hearing that the Darkness and Warmness was going to make me say meh on HD6XX. HD600 other hand was better. Here's a not too much of a shocker: Mangi 3+ with RDAC is more flexible with my stuff than ZDT Jr. 2D Stage yeah, but gotta like New Order with the JVCs with the chain.

What would you say the main differences are?

@famish99 I'll need more time to really give you the data, but so far the treble region is dark like the color of the DAC. Black Frost 2 in treble is slightly warm but doesn't even pull things back like the Airist. If that make sense. I'll play more with it.

One of my sons is designing ships in his bedroom. Not little boats. 350 to 500 ft vessels. Doing the CAD drawings for cutting steel in most efficient way, routing pipes, etc. on ships currently being built. All the shipyard engineering staff was put on WFH status.

Downside for me is both GF and I have to to WFH in a 620 Sq Ft apt. She takes over the living room while I have my bedroom. Working in my bedroom makes me feel like a virgin at times back during my virgin days.

My living room has been converted into home office for my wife and I. Our desks are separated by an antique wardrobe, so it’s like we have cubicles

@Gaspasser I never did try the smoked beer from them. I should but the darkest I normally go is a Dunkel. I like the dark look, but not a dark taste like in porters.

I think @YMO is just a bit casual about the dislikes, based on posts elsewhere. Don't think you should take it too personally, man, the recent situation in the world has got everyone a bit on edge.

I don't get to drink lately cuz family all hate alcohol (sigh, definitely making up for that once I can get out again!), but I do hope you and YMO both take care of your livers :))

@Gaspasser f**k IPAs. What am I, 65? This one place that I go locally is called the "Retirement Home," because this place the majority of things on tap are IPAs and most of the people are 50+. Also, Not the biggest fan of Cigar City stuff in general.

Those who don’t like IPAs have weak constitutions.

I did post something awhile back on the Beer thread. TD:DR: German Beer and their Reinheitsgebot legacy law is my version of what beer should be made. I can make another post that piss on everyone's favorite beer, but nah. IPAs are those who are losing their taste in things in general. You need to spice it so much to make it taste something. :P

We're locked down as of tomorrow night for 3 weeks. I have a couple cases of beer and a few bottles of whisky for kicks. I don't know how much I feel like kicks though.

I'll listen to it in a bit if it is musical to me. Always sends me recommendations like my "cousin" @Gaspasser does for me at times without him knowing.

I just finished the Tomeka Reid album, fantastic stuff. The more I listen, the more Mary Halvorson impresses.

Lazy attempt, no GPON port or SFP fiber. I still say that a complete GPON router, with all the bells and whistles in a Silbatone style chassis would be a VERY profitable product (+$10k per unit, of course!).
