Fiio FD 1 for $64.34 on Amazon. For a step up, the Moondrop Starfield for $110.00. Combined with a nice Penon cable like the OS849 for $119.00 or the ISN SC4 for $109.00 and you have a nice sounding IEM for cheap.
The IEMs with DD drivers need at least 100 hours of break in. They are just tiny speakers like in your stereo system. They need to loosen up before they sound good.

Bumping this because these are wicked good. Just ordered another pair after my puppy got a hold of my last ones. One of the few headphones I’ve ever owned that didn’t have something a bit odd I could pick out. Just very neutral and clean. Seems like they sound great almost by accident lol. Would never expect it.

@rhythmdevils - what made you try these out? :bird:

RD's notes on these are pretty solid. I've got no real complaints - I just hope this kinda springy/tangly cable holds up.

Shhhh keep'em a secret, I like the $30-$40 price point.

I needed a pair of iems to play white noise in the shower. These were the only waterproof iems I found. I thought they would sound like garbage but then at some point I found myself in a situation where they were the only thing around so I listened to music with them and to my surprise, they sounded great! I was super surprised and kept taking them off and looking through the tip openings at the drivers trying to figure out how they could sound fast and peak free like this and be waterproof.

If past models of mine are any indication, one of the drivers will fail before the cable does, but supposedly they fixed this issue with the latest revision so who knows..

Wondering if the cable it too microphonic to use for running?
Thinking about pairing them with my es100 and using on a treadmill. Would get the short cable version.

I just added a bluetooth transmitter to the tv in front of the treadmill, and waterproof iem's would be nice with temps heating up here and my propensity to sweat.

The cable is a bit microphonic as they aren’t made for audiophiles at all. I don’t know how they’d do for running but I think probably ok. Running is mostly bouncing the cable and it seemed more sensitive to rubbing against things. From memory.

Are these sibilant for anyone? Mine are. Could I have gotten a faulty set?
