A month ago I posted in the deals thread that Music Direct was closing out this now discontinued AIO DAC for half price.
@jazztherapist requested impressions which I shall now oblige after spending some time with this unit.

TL:DR. Is this 2015 design worth the current $799 list? No, not in 2020. Is it worth the $375 shipped,no tax cost in 2020?
    Yes, but....see below

Features: 2 x coax input, 2 x tosilink, 1 USB, 1 aptX Bluetooth. ESS 9016 chip, variable and fixed Rca outputs (yes, they work simultaneously) , full function remote control, 1/8" headphone output which does not mute the Rca outputs. UK design, China manufacture if that matters to you.

Sound: Sabre glare, what Sabre glare? Not present in this unit. Even tonal balance, excellent detail, good bass definition and slam. Good staging. Surprisingly good USB input ( fed via Surface Pro Win10, Asus Chromebook I, Samsung J7 and Lenovo tablet Android ). AptX bluetooth input really surprised me streaming Tidal and AmazonHD via Bluetooth 5.0
Headphone output has gobs of power for almost any phones, but it's slam doesn't equal the line level slam.

In 2020 can you get a Modi3/Magni3 combo for $150 less and get equally satisfying sound? Yes, almost as good to my ears but the one chassis Arcam is slightly better and includes the remote, good Bluetooth and more inputs. For my needs, these last 3 extras made all the difference and I'm quite pleased with my purchase.
