That thread looks ominously quiet... are they still letting it break in, wuahaha? Any day now... and it won't sound like shit!?!

It's that ... or extended listening has finally finished them off.

Extended listening to the Audio-GD Singularity 19 has been rumored* to have links to disorders of the nervous system and bowels, cause depression, induce suicidal tendencies, result in hair-loss, sweaty palms, and mopery.

I even heard tell, indirectly, of a criminal case in which the defendant claimed they were deaf being proven otherwise when they made said defendant listen to the S19 and the result was him pulling a face that was described by the juror's as "being a lot like slapped arse". He was, allegedly, subsequently convicted on four counts of gross indecency, but his sentence was commuted on the basis that "he's suffered enough already" (no doubt in reference to his S19 exposure).

Pre-pend a few As and lot of Rs, append a couple of Gs and a whole bunch of Hs and that's about what I said when listening to the thing ...

    --

*Overheard a guy down the "Dog and Duck", who was merely voicing a rumor he said he'd heard on some website called "Hype Fi" or something ...

    And so, it begins.

    Can't possibly be that it's just an under-engineered, over-priced, shitty, buzzword-DAC.

    Nope ... must be broken.

And if the S19 "outclasses" the DAC-19 then ... well ... maybe someone should stick to building stuff via the data-sheet.

    Between you and @Dino ... ;)

I don't plan on making a habit of going there ... maybe if I have something to sell that no one here wants. I can get Jason's thread via the guy doing the Kindle version/updates and Mike tends to post here so ...

Hope you don't mind my quoting you @Torq, but I think it can and will (hopefully) help others.

    Exactly! :)

I was about to post on that thread right as they took the site down. I'd been holding it in and pacing anxiously ever since!

Now ... get four cats and freshly cleaned litter box ...

It's clear by now that SBAF folks were getting bored and the HF upgrade has provided the levels of excitement everyone was nervously seeking...

    Something like this?

LOL, I was thinking the same thing as you: how bad the DAC-19 must have been. (I've only owned M7, but never heard DAC-19). A huge part of the disconnect is that these guys don't have chains (amp, headphone, transport, recordings, etc.) that can allow them to discern significant differences.

The DAC-19 was probably leagues better, but, you know, new, shiny, and discrete has to sound better to noobs.

Haven't been on HF for a while and this thread made me go back over to see the S19 battle. Have to admit I had two reactions when I saw the new HF format.
    1) Wait, I thought that link was taking me to HF...oh, this is HF!
    2) Urp... [small amount of throw-up in my mouth]. Yuck

It's very obvious who the invested parties/shills are in that thread.

More of the "why didn't you contact Kingwa" nonsense, coupled with comments about a "sample size of one" from ... of course ... someone that, at best, has a sample sized of, oh, ONE ... and of course the types that cannot disassociate themselves from their purchases.

I'm not going to miss that place.

I see you're having fun, for obviously low levels of it.

'TurbOSquiD67' clearly reads like a professional shill, in the style of "everyone has their own opinion".

It can be difficult to distinguish between those who intend to deceive others and those who are deceiving themselves.
