Mutec 1.2 also bested USB Gen3, albeit the difference was smaller than Gen2...if I'm generalizing. The DACs sound different regardless.

Because people want convenience, in addition ...
USB brought just that, along with poor sound quality (until recently, or few years ago, after spending 1.5k on an Offramp-5 ...)

Good sound is easy. Great sound or better is where things get dumb.

Good sound was what great sound used to be, until the next wave hit. Gungnir Multibit sounds great Spdif because it was designed that way. Though you know, the wyred4sound recovery is pretty good too. Spdif is great, spun CDs from great transport can be great, but pricey. There is no endgame for digital worth keeping a half life of Moore's Law, so far.

Guys I was wondering if anyone here had heard the nfb 15. It goes for $250(excluding shipping), so maybe $325 or more after shipping/taxes to US.
    "32bit / 384K Asynchronous Transfer USB-32 Chip Built in 2 Pieces Hi-end grade WM8741 Chips
    And
    Output power(Only for headphone):3500mW/25 ohm, 1800mW/50 ohm, 900mW/100 ohm, 300mW/300 ohm, 150mW/600 ohm"
Seems pretty darn good for a amp/dac combo at $250 with a supposedly warmer than neutral but not too gooye/dark/thick sound signature.
    What do you guys think?

AGD has designed a custom (discrete?) r2r modules, perhaps to start taking the place of the pcm1704uk that has been used for so long now. (which i'm guessing is a good thing to a lot of people who seem to not care for the sound of the 1704). I just noticed on their site the release of their first dac using these modules, Singularity 19. I'm pretty interested to hear what these things sound like.

Im interested in what the price will be for a Master 7 or Singularity 7 using these modules. If I recall correctly, the last DAC 19 with 1704 chips was around $150 more than this new one.
