The spider charts you make are a very good way to serve a wide range of readers, IMO. You are going to the trouble of translating subjective evaluations into easily comparable numbers across a range of categories, leaving it to readers to decide which categories matter most to them.

People probably still complain that you didn’t include such-and-such parameter or that the numbers on a given chart are not directly comparable/scaled to all the others.

The guy doing the interview is almost as giddy as those teenaged girls waiting to catch a glimpse of The Beatles when the Fab Four touched down in the USA for the first time. Good god, man! Get a hold of yourself!

Well I do understand where he's coming from...he know that will give him visibility so ofc he's happy.

Regarding SBAF and schiit talk, I wasn't expecting his posture to be any different, as sad as it is. He gives himself big, big, credit, always have and always will.

Is that another word(s) for chaos? I can't imagine what else is working in our favour!

Unless... All that religious stuff is actually true!Maybe some folk on an unknown Himalayan mountain are working on this.

That's just what you don't want him to do on video.
I have not watched the video. I have already isolated myself for one fortnight after suspected covid symptoms (I don't think it was) and I don't want Amir contamination.

But, from the thumbnail, if I have to guess between a black guy and a white woman, I'd say: the one on the left. Maybe his avatar is him in his(?) sexy youth.
As the British like to say, with no trace of an actual laugh, Ha, bloody ha. Perhaps emphasised with a slow handclap.

Amir's contribution and success with projects such as the Microsoft Zune were noticed across the galaxy ;)

Rumor has it the exact shade of brown was chosen from one of Amir's own mid-morning bowel movements.

For a split second I thought the interviewer might be Amir. I was ready to cut some slack for a brutha just trying to get his, but alas, Amir is pretty much default template audiophile...

Haha thank you sir! I was actually planning on doing a whole series of unboxing videos each different but health issues stopped me. I do have one more on my old phone that I didn’t put up on YouTube because I stuttered once and it made it out of character but maybe I’ll try to see if I can upload it. I rub the headphones on my bare chest at one point....

Two things in the interview very revealing for me. Amir mentioned his personal system contained two $25,000 amplifiers and $25,000 Revel speakers. Yet he, and the minions, claim that test results reveal everything. Claiming that if a $149 DAC and $2500 DAC test results are essentially the same they will sound the same. Same dog and pony show for loudspeakers, amplifiers, etc. So why does Amir have such expensive equipment if the cheap stuff measures the same? And once in a while one of the minions will reveal they own expensive equipment while telling everyone else they are audiofools for not buying cheap stuff.

Secondly, Amir revealed how little he understands about product development. He claimed the cost is the same to make a cheap, poorly performing DAC as to make a high quality DAC. Tried to justify by babbling about Surface Mount Devices (SMD) size and layout on a circuit board. If you look strictly at components and circuit board assembly cost, the difference can be relatively small. Amir conveniently ignored the design and testing cost to get to the component and circuit board assembly in China that is much higher for a quality unit. During Amir's career at Microsoft he never received direction to spare no expense developing a product to be sold at the lowest price point.

I could tolerate Amir and separate wheat from chaff in his reviews. Insufferable are the strident, arrogant, know-it-all minions that think they are saviors to the masses of unwashed and ignorant.

Amir is responsible for his followers' shall we say.. specialness.. because of the way he presents his findings. He doesn't get a free pass to be a douchenozzle just like the rest of us don't.

Shouldn't his followers call him out on the hypocrisy? If you keep telling people that topping dacs are the best dacs in the world then why don't you use them in your main system?

They wouldn't because Amir's followers were guided by his hand to have the second best, a few SINAD behind for merely $700, and one or two db SINAD behind that for $150 for those who can only afford the third best. It's basically an army consisting of 96% with no better than $150 chip amps (nothing wrong with that), 3% high SINAD higher-end chip stuff at $700, and 1% Benchmark gear.

I just read a comment that a minion wanted to proceed a member to court, under the felony of “slander and false accusing” that criticized Amir’s work...

It’s now deleted by a mod, but this is not a joke.

Possibly the beginning of the cult collapsing under the weight of it's own arrogance. Cognitive Dissonance is latest Buzz word applied to anyone not embracing ASR as the ultimate authority. Not only do the minions claim to be all knowing in the field of audio, now psychology is added to their field of expertise. Look in the mirror, ASR minions, to find the perfect example of Cognitive Dissonance.
