balanced lyr3 circuit preamp not smart just rando

Lyr3 has the circuitry comparable to Aegir. Freya not being my cup of tea circuit wise how can I use aegir mono with a saga or better quality sound. WHICH PREAMP CAN THEY UPGRADE?
