I haven't heard them, so I'm not recommending, but it may be worth exploring RHA-T20. If I were looking for an iem with that sound signature, I'd check those out.

You'll want to look into the Mee Audio P1. Lots of treble sparkle without harshness/sibilance, and great bass performance down to about 50Hz.

I would have recommended against the T20. It's got forward treble/uppermids, but too much so. Found them sibilant and unable to be listened to with sibilance heavy recordings.

I am in the same boat. I am currently looking at the Fostex TE-05 or TE-07. Anyone have any opinions about these?

If the Flare R2Pros and R2As are an indication, the R2S which are currently 230 on Amazon should be contender.

The series is very very good SQ wise IMO. Build is another issue...

R2S' are supposed to be a little brighter than the other two.

Hang on and see what you make of the T20, I think they're a huge improvement over the T10, and you can always fiddle with the nozzles to try and work out any kinks in the sig. I'd have suggested the Fidue A83 for your $300, but the T20 should press your buttons.

The RHA T20 appear to be pretty sturdy but at that price I don't think I'd go for IEM's without detachable cables.

PSB M4U 4 is a quite good. The frequency response is well balanced without major weaknesses and better than my HD650/HD800 and the HE6 I used to have.
