    @james444 sir..

    Thanks for the mod

    I want to tell something

    I think this mod can be done on Sony xb50. Sony xb50 comes with the sorbothane typish mod.

    What I did was

    Taped the bass duct and made a small hole.

    Made a small hole in the front vent(it was covered with acoustic resistive paper from inside).

    It sounds amazing

    This is brainwavz jive response curve.

    Well for my ears, it does sound faster than blitzwolf(no means to triggering people).

    But that 5kHz make everything sound into face and sharp.

    Give me some suggestion to damp that 5kHz peak up.

    Got my UiiSii HI-820 (prob same as BW-ES1) in today. Gonna order some micropore tape from taobao. I think I’ll try to shave a thin piece off of a piece of Damplifier Pro that I have for the sorbothane part inside. Can anyone think of why that wouldn’t work?

    @Merrick I have Symbios too. Are you using the Symbios modded with the sorbothane inside them?

    I’ve got the sorbothane in the Symbios, yes. Not sure if you’re asking if I’ve additionally modded the Symbios beyond that, which I have not. The sound is terrific.

    Basically I’ve done the @tgx78 revision of the mods to the IEMs and used the Symbios as the tips.

    I found Micropore, even with holes a la the Fostex mod, too muffling with these. Give them a go with just the Damplifier first, then maybe try Transpore (if you can find it) if you still find the treble too much.

    The big appeal with these is the speed and dynamics, which any additional filtering suppresses somewhat. But that character can be fatiguing over long sessions, which a gentle filter like Transpore or a tea-bag can help.

    Edit Clarification: I'm talking about a filter for the nozzle here, not the cover for the rear vent. For that I've stuck with ordinary tape - I found it easier to get the same size holes in each side using that.
