The GeekOut v2 hisses just as much as the ZX2.

I can't hear hiss on my Nexus 5X.
I'm not sure I could hear hiss on the iPad mini2.

All of this is at work (not particularly loud - engineering space) but not quiet like at home.

There is a faint amount of hiss that's ever present that's independent of this. It's more noticeable when running balanced FWIW.

I just received an iematch and I think it works a treat with the V2+ Infinity. I don't feel like this device is messing with the FR.

GO2A or GOV2+ with the IEMatch is actually a really good combo. I'll get a pic of my stack. I sort of wish I could find a fully differential leck or glacier to round it out (not the Alo Rx, as much as I like the amp it smooths detail too much).

It's called soldering a f'ing resistor into your cable. I did it with my stock cable but don't want to mangle my nicer ones. The IEMatch is expensive as balls for a $3 BOM (mostly connectors).

Gotta be a voltage splitter of some sort since its lowering OI, not raising it; so a few resistors I'm guessing.

Adds resistance to reduce volume for sensitive IEMs. 2.5ohm and 30 ohm depending on the setting. Also switches between balanced and SE operation. Better to remove complexity and do it yourself soldering a solution inline.

Their specification say it has an input impedance of 16 ohms and an output impedance of around 2.5 or around 1. To do that it's got be a voltage splitter or buffer of some sort. Just a simple reistor will be adding impedance to your source. They're claiming to lower your source OI in the HF thread.

I'll open mine up and see. Either way, the BOM is cheap as hell. We're talking a couple of extra parts that cost less than 10 cents each in bulk. AMR hasn't exactly been using high quality parts in the ifi line.

Edit: For those of you who wonder why it's so small, it's just a tiny IC there inline.

Man....thought zx2 pairing with andro was good......but this Go V2+ infinity with iem match is just wow ><

We can achieve the same thing with less complexity knowing the OI of the source and the desired change. Less electronics in the stage, the better.

Does anyone know if Line Drive ameliorates Andromeda hissing with GO2A?

If @Marvey would send mine back I'd tell you :)

Thank you, I think. Ordered. Will be eating Ramon for a couple of weeks but hey from reports this will be totally worth it. Looks like they have similar deals the other campfire iems as well.

Has anyone tried the UE impedance pigtail with the Andromeda? For sure it will kill any hiss and if the amp can output the power it should work pretty well I think?

    would appreciate confirmation as well.

I despise hiss with IEMs + DAC/Amps - would use Andromeda primarily balanced with GOV2+SpecialEdition, yet OCD for needing a UE pigtail or iFi Match hanging off the GOV2+SE is just more dongle pain.

@zerodeefex can you re-confirm Best Practices for Andro + GOV2+SE (or GO2ASE) balanced?
should I consider Vega or Dorado with GOV2+SE just to avoid the OI issues?

congrats man, you won't regret it. hopefully Ramon isn't a well-to-do mexican that pays you an allowance for eating him. I'd much rather eat noodle soup instead. but honestly, these IEMs might be worth either scenario. let us know your impressions when you receive them!
