Cardas lifetime warranty: Transferable?

    Hi all!

    Many years ago I purchased a cardas cable from a user whom had many years ago purchased his cable from Cardas. I've now lost contact with him and I don't have the order number, packaging, nor receipt for my cable!

    The audio is getting quite spotty, cutting out here and there, and I'd like to send it in for repair. However, Cardas' site (http://www.cardas.com/support_repair.php) doesn't state whether or not the warranty is transferable, and/or if I will need an order number. I do qualify under all their listed conditions.

    Has anybody here got experience with this? Should I send in my support ticket now with only their cable in my possession?

    In regard to your question... have you even tried asking Cardas first?

    Now, I'm not sure about your chances of finding someone here who have had similar issues concerning transferable warranty with Cardas cables and could answer your question with confidence. And even if you do, regardless of what answer you may find here, it's ultimately up to Cardas to decide whether your cable is, given the circumstances, qualified for repair under warranty.

    So why bother creating a new thread to ask here when you can ask directly to whom it may concern? You will have to contact Cardas one way or another if you want to send in your cable for repair.
