I will probably regret this very much in the future, but up for sale is the best headphones in my collection. I love its sound but at the same time, dont have an amp that can get the most out of it (even though MCTH did just fine and this is easier to drive than code X according to many here) and also, I feel that even HD800 is too heavy these days.

I have not heard the code X but Bill P did and told me that they are very similar, except for code X sounding a bit more airy.

Headphones is still in very good shape: some light scratches on the headband and the sliders. Comes with a XLR cable with some light fraying towards the end.

Asking $1350 which is what I paid + PP fees + actual shipping cost from Vietnam (should be $30 for most places in the world). I had to wait 6 months on my pair so grab one now to save you the time.

@Bill-P are we sure these appearing to sound less airy than the Code X aren't due in part to the thick Nam air? ;)

LEX is one of the air-iest phones I've heard. Airier than my Code-6. Couldn't ask for more in that regard.

GLWS but I promise OP will regret it, whether in a month or a year or ten.

LFF phones are the type that you keep for the long haul and build a whole system around. They scale indefinitely. Toss everything else out (save for a 650 or ZMF maybe, for flavor).

Any phones that best them in one quality are likely to lack in at least one other quality in direct comparison. I'm not kidding.

Many people who sell an LFF phone come to regret it. I've seen many posts from senior members who mention fondly their past days with LFF cans.

Don't get me wrong, sometimes I tinker with the idea of selling mine just to pick up something with more color. Sometimes I get caught up in the FOTM. But, since working with Upscale, I've taken a lot of stuff home to listen to, and I can tell you there is no present "upgrade" from the LEX. Just sidegrades. But once you let go of these, you're unlikely to find another pair.

Just something to think about. Future owner is very lucky, given LFF is impossible to get a hold of nowadays. There may not be many more of these.

Whether you're joking or not, that's a very valid point Nabil ;)

Urghh I really want to force myself to disagree with you but they are all very valid points....

The reason is I'm quite impatient with the current situation now: don't have an amp that these deserved (MCTH still did fine IMO) and with the horrible electric grounding in Vietnam, that does not help the overall situation either. Finally, I spend last time with music these days so these don't get the usage they deserve even though that might be only temporary.

I've been wondering about this actually. Is LFF still around (enigmatic-audio?) ?

All I know is that no less than 3 members have reached out to me to try to find him. He used to work 10 miles from where I live now (not sure if he still works there). Last I spoke with him was January 2018, not sure if anyone has heard from him since.

I know he was going through a potential career change and had some other big obligations, and I remember him telling me when he did my HE-6 that he didn't know how many more he could do. He was also prototyping his own scratch headphones, had just received some new parts...

Absolutely surprised no one have snagged these yet. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these if I had the funds.
