I picked these up at the Wax Records Fair:

 

The vinyl looked clean, but Side A, 2nd track has this constant revolutionary tick throughout the track....very annoying. I didn't get a chance to spin the rest of the sides.
I'll do that now and update this post. If it crosses my threshold for a listening experience, it's going back. I hate doing that, but if it is that bad...hmmm

UPDATE: The rest of the 3 sides are great! So only having issues with Side A, Track 2. Good pressing.

 

Got it! Opeth - Ghost Reveries came in today, somehow the only Opeth album missing in my collection!

 

Spinning right now through Sony PS-X700, Soundsmith Boheme cartridge, Jadis DPMC tube Phono to the EAR 912 Preamp. Ridiculously full sounding, pure rock soul!

Holy cow! I picked this up on discogs, great condition and had no idea it would sound so good! The CD never sounded great. I couldn't find anything on the net about the Japanese pressing, but I figured it might be better than the US version for the clean vinyl. And it is, very quiet, wide soundstage, full range, and I think vinyl serves Michael McDonald's voice well. I've never heard this album so good!

Picked this up recently at an estate sale for $2. Dark Side of the Moon Harvest/EMI 1973 Quadraphonic LP with intact original poster/stickers! Huge head rush when I saw it in the bin.
