U didn't pick up one mediocre artist! Billy Joel, Neil Young, Sigur Ros, Vince Guaraldi Trio, Flaming Lips, Adele, Black Keys, Allman Bros, Buddy Guy, Herbie Hancock....damn, someone is on a roll :)

Whats under the Allman Bros MoFi record? And what is under the Adele record?

OK, my own version of a Black Friday score. Used off ebay, but in pristine condition. I think I've officially crossed over the line into the the realm of crazy, obsessed, materialistic, depraved lunatic.... er, I mean... audiophile... What have you done to me shaizada? IMG_1203.jpg

Holy Shit!!! Slow down!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Save some for the rest of us....frikkin crazy "Adams" all around me now!

Dude, I want a report on how each one of those sounds! Which ones are worth picking up....there are some reissues I have...Impex (Kevin Gray mastering) and some Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs as well of Billy Joel records.

Maybe bring them over...we can decide which are the best masterings/versions and complete the Billy Joel collection with the best ones.

KRAZZZZYYYY Guy! I really thought I was one of the few lunatics around.....at least on this forum! LOL!!!

Japanese vinyl is usually METICULOUSLY pressed and kept. Unlike our USA plants (fingerprints, small scratches, weird non-fill issues), when records are pressed in Japan, they are absolutely pristine. The jackets, the OBI, the flawless vinyl, they take SO MUCH pride in their work.

Many times, despite not having access to the actual Master tape, they can work wonders with second generation tapes as well. But USA plants and even Pallas plant in Germany can't compete with Japanese pressings. I LOVE THEM!

Has anyone gotten the new Queen boxset? Impressions? I love me some Freddie Mercury & co but the price of entry at $400CDN is steep.

The return of psych wax! I assume it plays OK?

I have pressings from 70s Peru with a similar tie dye-esque combo and they are pretty damn awful in terms of noise.

Yeah, we've gotten pretty awesome at colored vinyl and mixed colored vinyl. At least Jack White's Third Man Records has figured it out. Sounds pretty solid.

Went to my local Radioshack (Radioshack!?!) looking for some fuses and found a very odd collection of old vinyl in the back. Could have spent half the day picking through dusty old boxes. Paid $10 for the 4 records. Time to clean them up and see if they are decent.
