    Hi guys.

Please learn from my error. Dasacoustic (https://www.dasacoustic.com/en/index/) the once popular plinth maker is no longer functional and I believe taking orders and not delivering as a scam.

I ordered in May and received communication until August. Then I was told her family was ill and the next thing 0 communication.

I ordered through PayPal and paid for buyer protection. Unfortunately when I lodged the dispute I did not escalate in time and apparently that means I forfeit all my rights. f**k Paypal.
So I lost 1200 euro. I've requested a credit card refund with my bank but they said low chance since it's been more than 120 days.

I found a page that when converted to English explains many people have been caught out too.
    https://melius.club/topic/21717-das-acoustic-esperienza-molto-negativa/
The company is only taking IBAN bank transfer now and no longer accepting paypal from what I understand. Not a good sign.

please also see 2 recent purchases on ebay where the product was not delivered: https://www.ebay.com/str/dasacoustic?_tab=feedback

It's a shitty situation for me but not the end of the world, others should NOT buy from Dasacoustic as it appears they are now just a scam site.

    Have a lovely weekend

Never heard of them. But then I've never followed the classic-turntable path, and never bought a plynth. I looked at their site.

Beautiful products. So sad that a company that was making such lovely things to grace the looks and sound of great decks would have gone this way. And I'm very sorry for your considerable personal loss.

This is horrible. Making this front page to bring awareness. Can't believe they are scamming but leaving their site up.

Report the fraud to the FTC and have them barred from doing business in the USA. Company is based in India.

Whilst Das might be an Indian[-origin] name, their site suggests Hungary. Their ebay store page states Hungary and gives an actual address. The sales page there just says all sold out.

(but is this actually DAS Acoustics or a stockist?)

This info email is the compromised email. I don't think there is any Indian involvement in this business. Das make them themselves (or atleast used to).

I have just received a very nice plinth from DAS Acoustic. I ordered it in June, and there was a longer wait than I expected, but in the end, they delivered as promised. I must admit that I was quite concerned for a few weeks.

There was communication during the process, and I was informed about a delay caused by the critical illness of a close relative. My post should not be seen as a blanket recommendation of DAS Acoustic, but I do believe it is still a legitimate business.

Good to know. I wonder if @Xecuter can net any resolution now.

Can you send a time stamped photo of the plinth? Thanks

Yes, I can also forward you my last email correspondence with DAS Acoustic including the tracking number. Could you please send me your email address via PM?

Just to clarify, I am in no way affiliated with DAS Acoustic. Like you, I was also concerned that my money might be lost.

A member of the Facebook group “Thorens TD124 Friends” has just posted photos of a DAS Acoustic plinth he received today. He had to wait a long time too.

That's surprising news. As I said over PM a time stamped photo of your plinth would be super appreciated. I don't want anyone to develop hope without evidence.

    Cheers

I am a new member with no history on this forum, so obviously I understand your concern.

I have offered to email you a photo, as I don’t know how to post photos on this forum. I also sent you a private message with a GLS tracking number, where you can see that Imre Horvath shipped a large package to my wife’s workplace in Denmark. Did you check it?

Additionally, I suggested that people check out the Facebook group Thorens TD124 Friends, where someone named Herman Kanne posted photos of a new DAS Acoustic plinth a few days ago.

My only motivation for posting here was to offer some hope after reading your thread. I see no reason to go through a lot of effort to convince you of my intentions if you’ve already decided not to believe me.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that you eventually receive your order.

I am hoping to see the name of this thread changed! But first, @Xecuter has to get satisfaction.

I did ordered a Plinth in September, ( and paid via IBAN) suppose to be delivered end of October, communication until November 3rd explains delay, then no news , and only automatic answers to emails.
I do hope that this gentlemen Imre is simply very disorganize and that he will soon answer to requests, specifically for customers such as myself who prepaid their order now Two months ago.....
Any complementary information or experience is most welcome.

Dear Sir , it seems that I am having the same trouble as you,
I did pay a Plinth late September, and since 3 weeks no communication, no emails, no answer.
they are not active on eBay anymore, but taking orders using their web site, and asking for a prepaid bank transfer, then ... black hole.
i am not sure it is a scan site, or if it is a company in trouble or if they close the business, but it stinks...
i do have people on top of it, feel free to communicate is we intend a collective action, I sent 1 300 euro to the bank account, this is a traceable action... lets communicate if you want
    best regards
    Richard

Apologies, after lurking for a long time I realise I should go do the introduction prior for good manners. I used to live in Hungary so can get around their Internet a bit easier.

It looks like the company has been in liquidation for some time, can't see a successor company either - https://www.nemzeticegtar.hu/dasacoustic-bt-c1806106579.html

The eBay mentioned company number (adoszam) doesn't appear anywhere else on the Internet linked to a registration that I can see.

Hopefully some chance that might help with the bank.

Just talked by phone with the guy who opened that italian thread. I'm pretty much in the same situation, ordered in september and still waiting for the plinth.
hoping those "evidences" of recent satisfied customers are true (asked to join that Thorens fb group)

I have received no evidence of this plinth being delivered from @Goldwater

My bank said I was too slow to request a reversal. Dasacoustic haven't replied and paypal have said tough luck.

This might actually kill what little interest I had left in vinyl.
