Woah @Rotijon I don't think I've even implied FitEar products as overpriced. They surely look pricy but I reserve my judgements before I hear anything.

A good amount of stupid arguments are generated by people bashing/hyping about things they haven't heard.

Not sure, but that was the assumption I was under after reading some comments here and elsewhere.

Obsession with BOM cost is silly audiophile collector stuff. If it sounds good, it's good. If it sounds good but is outdone by cheaper competitors, then it is a poor value. BOM/labor/marketing/etc cost really doesn't matter to the end-user. What's important is the relative price and utility the thingy gives you.

Oddly enough, when I heard the Savant I did get the feeling that the sound it offered was outclassed by cheaper competitors. So in that sense I'm not surprised that it is a simple(?) 2-way. 2-ways tend to sound better than all this multi-driver masturbation that everyone is doing regardless. I've just heard better 2-ways. My ears (and relative experience hearing other stuff) tell me more about the Savant than any dude cracking it open ever will.

Didn't Brooko's review mention that he felt it was a dual BA way before it was publicly taken apart?

    Hola audio bros,

I was the guy who made the video.

The video was very unprofessional on my part. It was intended to show guys that they could build a CIEM version of the Savant for half the price of a UIEM Savant, but I lost sight of that goal and berated Noble instead. Now that I'm actually operating in the IEM market, having a teardown and review of a competitor's product is something that didn't sit right with me. It also became clear that my key point was lost in translation. That's why I removed it.

My key point is the Savant proves that armature count is far less important than thoughtful design.

Honestly, the profit didn't bother me because of the sound, it bothered me because with such a high end price, the fit and finish of the Savant, cable, box, owner's certificate, etc, leaves much to be desired. So to be clear, I think the Savant is a fantastic IEM but I really wish Noble would work more on customer experience instead of cost cutting.

I don't think it was because of my video, but they improved customer experience and accessories with the Savant since I made the video, so it sounds like they revised things based on customer feedback.

TLDR; Savant sounds good, two armature layout is great, my video was unprofessional and communicated poorly, that's why I removed it.

    Hugs all around.

Lesson learned, time to move forward.

And you better buy the Noble guy some lunch at Axpona in April.

Damn it, I don't have the ability to upload a photo from my phone. Is this because I'm a noob to this site?

You have to have it up on the web somewhere and then link to it, I'm afraid.
