Eitr Problems

I'm having a problem with my Eitr where the computer is no longer registering it. Unplugging and re-plugging all the cables doesn't work anymore. It's a problem with the Eitr and not my computer because I've tested it on both my main linux PC and my windows one. I bought this brand new over 6 years ago and only started having issues with it in the past year. I've read that this is an issue with these units where they can need to be heated up so I used a hair dryer once (others have done this) to get it started again prior. As soon as I restarted the PC, it disconnected. I don't want to keep doing that so I'm hoping there is another solution.

 

Looks like it'll need to be sent in for repair.

Home re-flow never works all that well without the proper equipment.
(You may remember the Red Ring of Death if you had an Xbox 360.)
