It's been a year since I posted a bunch of stuff here: https://www.superbestaudiofriends.o...e-nitsch-eta-jar-ifi-iesl-audio-zenith.14084/

The ETA Mini S and JAR 660 are what's left. Just gonna copy my notes from last time.

Technically I still have the unobtanium OG 4-screw early edition HE-6 available for those who want to throw mad money at me.

    ETA Mini S - $500 CAD ($350 USD) SOLD
    Purchased from here: https://www.superbestaudiofriends.org/index.php?threads/fs-eta-mini-s.13304/
Added one additional pentaconn to XLR4 adapter. Looking to get back what I paid for them including getting it over the border.

    JAR 660 - $725 CAD ($510 USD) - pics here
I don't remember when I got this, but it's in great condition. Cups are white. Includes one cable.
I don't have the original box. It will be partially disassembled and smooshed into a small box for shipping.
Comes with one new unused balanced XLR4 cable.

Don't be that guy. The guy that posts bullshit just to post. Please click and read the link at the top of the page that says

    "Don't be a dotard!
    Read these "rules" AND introduce
    yourself
    before your first post"

It'll help you enjoy your stay here much better.

I'm thinking it might be a bot actually. Drops a couple random posts to establish presence, then used for whatever at some point in the future.

How are the 660 with the Jar mod?

I wrote up some impressions with a few amps here: https://www.superbestaudiofriends.o...ini-s-jar-660-lcd-x-verite-o-pmx2-he-6.13975/

I have not owned the regular HD660, but have had the normal 580/600/650 over the years. If I had to make a generalization, the JAR660 removes a lot of the "sennheiser veil" (for those believe in such a thing). It's still very amp dependent, but overall cleaner.

JAR660 is SO much better (to me) than stock. I think this particular application of JAR-mods has the greatest effects of any of the 6X0 mods. Really tightens and cleans the sound up. I <really> don't need to own a pair but Jupiter is making me a pair or I might be tempted to grab these and at the price, they are a fantastic entry into JAR and to see what the mods can do...without much risk or expense.

When they were on the loaner tour, I sent my stock 660 out with them for comparison because I was so surprised at the difference.

Have you tried HF? I sold my NITSCH JAR600 in eight minutes there over the weekend.

I will trade you for an IOU on future Nitsch products! But now the whole import/tariff/whatever makes things even harder now.

Eh, was really hoping to keep it in the sbaf family for now, but we'll see.

Get on that JAR. It is such a normal sounding, low stress headphone. I would buy it, if I didn’t already own two pairs ;)

DOOO EEEET. Seriously, man, the JAR660 is no f@cking joke. I don't understand why SBAF gives that particular model JAR the cold shoulder. This place baffles me sometimes.

The 660S name is a cursed one cuz of all the initial hype being severely outweighed by how much of a letdown it was when folks here started getting ears on the thing. That's mainly on Sennheiser though, @ext1 seems to put an amazing amount of thought into fixing their screwups :D
