Not sure what this was all about, but Matt's a cool cat. He never gets angry and is one of the most patient non-problematic people I know. Comms with him can be shaky if he's swamped with orders, but he always gets back to his customers. As a manufacturer we had the A+ experience with him and his products.

Just ordered my 2nd FAW HCP Noir cable the other day. I know the cable is tops (my favorite)...now I'm just hoping for a smooth transaction and not terrible wait.

No email or other communication acknowledging the order. Oh, well. Just have to see...

We had some stuff ordered at MAtt's recently and it went rather well. Our order had multiple products on it and still waiting time was in weeks not months :)

Ordered my first Forza Audio cable like 2 years ago for the Focal Utopia and it was and still is awesome (Copper Series HPC Mk2).
Now I finally decided to go for a slightly more substantial cable (Noir HPC Mk2) and this time I went for a more convenient length of about 2m, and it's also awesome.
It only took a couple of days to arrive to my house in the UK - ordered Saturday and got it today - (even post-Brexit ) and I'm really happy with everything.

If I even need another cable I know that I'm going to go with Forza Audio.

    Thanks again!

I have 2 FAW HCP Noir MKII cables: 2M & 2.5M. They're my favorite cables. Somehow they manage to be substantial in size/gauge; lighter than you would ever expect; and almost completely non-microphonic. They also sound terrific on every headphone & amp I've tried them on.

I have or had more expensive cables--including currently the rather beautiful Norne Audio Drausk w/transparent cover. This cable is very pretty and the sound is excellent. I'm glad to own it. Still, I'm can't say it's better than the HCP Noir cables; if it is, the differences are small.

    Punchline: Forza makes terrific cables.

    This post is long overdue.

    TL;DR
Forza AudioWorks makes excellent cables and has excellent customer service.

    Cable Performance

HE-500 original cable vs Forza AudioWorks Noir HPC Mk2
    DSC_0606_small.jpg

I am not sensitive to detect audible differences in cable chemistry. I AM sensitive to cable mechanical performance,
particularly neck loading fatigue and mechanical transmission of noise, clothing rubbing, bumping against solid objects etc. HE-500 stock cable is quite stiff which makes it terrible for neck loading and mechanical noise. I could never stand to wear HE-500 for more than five or ten minutes before removing them in disgust. This of course negatively impacted my opinion of the HE-500 audible performance. It is hard to evaluate nuanced sound when a move of the head produces either a zipper like noise as the cable scrapes over a shirt button or the thumps produced when the cable hits the edge of a table.

Noir HPC Mk2 completely removes both mechanical issues for me. The difference is really night and day. I can wear HE-500 for more than an hour now. Neck fatigue is due only to the headphone weight. My preference for dynamics remains but HE-500 is receiving a little more listening time.

    Customer Service

Dec 2020 I wished to acquire a Noir HPC Mk2 cable for my HE-500. In navigating the Forza website I managed to open two nearly identical tabs for ordering. I thought I ordered correctly but what actually was submitted was for an AKG K702 with 3,5mm plug rather than HE-500 with 4-pin XLR. So when the AKG K702 cable arrived I was a bit puzzled. Forza was patient in demonstrating I ordered the K702 cable.

@Forza AudioWorks offered to replace the cable with one terminated for HE-500 and 4-pin XLR. I expected to pay for the new cable but to my extreme surprise Forza did not bill me. Shipping costs are substantial and Forza asked only that I sell the K702 cable locally and donate the funds to either a charitable organization or SBAF. This will be made available for sale to someone who can use the following cable:

Noir HPC Mk2 - Cable : Octa copper Litz UPOCC Cryo 7N wire (4x2 Geometry),
    Headphones : AKG K702/K712/Q701/Kxx,
    Length : 1,5 m,
    Plug : ViaBlue 3,5mm jack,
    Splitter : Forza AudioWorks CNC

Beautifully made cable with excellent mechanical performance.

I already own 2 Noir HCP MK2 balanced cables configured for ZMF/Audeze headphones (2M & 2.5M). So I know all about their terrific sound and near-complete absence of microphonics or stiffness of any kind.

I recently got a flagship planar that came with a decent (but not exceptional) single ended cable--the Final D8000. This headphone has a lot of sonic moves & real potential to benefit from any upgrades I can give it. After swapping out original Final earpads for the newer "G" type shipped with the successor to the D8000, the D8000 Pro (with some audible sonic goodies resulting)--it's time to upgrade cables. My goals were:
    • Obtain 2 short (6"-8") connector cables with cable jacks that work securely in Final's finicky/proprietary locking input jacks (not all aftermarket 3.5mm jacks work with this headphone) and amp-side connectors being male mini-XLRs
    • I just Paypal'd Matt @Forza to make these connectors for me out of Noir HCP MK2
So in a couple weeks I'll be able to finally hear the D8000 from my 2 balanced amps via the excellent Noir HCP MK2 cable, end to end. I'm really looking forward to this!

Does anybody know if Matt is alright? I haven't got any response from him since the end of September. He was going to ship my cable and then stopped responding. So I wonder if he might have health issues or something.

I ordered a cable in early October and received it within 2 weeks.

He’s been a little spotty with communication lately with me but he’s alright I think. He’s probably just really busy. I would try emailing him again.

He runs a one-man operation, which means that he does pretty much everything including mails. If you didn't get a reply within several days, please send it again. That's what we've been doing and it works with Matt ;)

I've seen him recently reply on a forum elsewhere so he's still around and about. Probably super busy with all these new HP releases and people with more disposable income, due to COVID-19 travel restrictions etc., placing more orders with him.

I agree with the above responses re/Matt's email replies. I have ordered from him multiple times in the past few months and received my HPC's in a timely manner, 2 weeks or less. I emailed him only once and it took him nearly that long to reply by email.

Forza Auidowoks' website has been down for a few days. I did hear from Matt just before the website went down, but given all the madness happening in neighboring Ukraine it makes me a bit worried. anyone know if he's ok?

His site works for me, the SSL certificate is invalid though but press ignore and it loads.

Matt also replied on Head-Fi 3 days ago so I think he's okay unless things have changed since then.
