Fostex TH900mk2

Not sure if this is new but while browsing around I found this:

Apparently a new version of the Love/Hate TH900 with Sennheiser HD6X0-esque detachable cable.
And just like with the hd600 the driver is hardwired to the connector.



There also seems to be an alternative wood finish plus they come with a balanced cable:

First time I saw Pioneer's SE-Master1 floating around it took about a month to get an official announcment for the western market.

 

But... that's a *terrible* connector

 

They look ugly asf with the new connector...

 

The news of TH900mk2 has been around for awhile. From what I know, the TH900mk2 will simply be a TH900 with detachable cables without any significant improvement or difference in sound. Of course, this could change.

I was hoping that the TH900mk2 would be a headphone that combines the best of TH-X00 and TH900: the sound signature and FR of TH-X00 with the resolution and bass quality of TH900.

 

But my HD650 cable can finally plug into another headphone!

 

I am more interested to the E-mu Teak. The engraved wood cups means thicker wood shell are used.

 

Everyone and their mother sticking mini-XLRs onto their T50RPs and they choose THAT connector...
