FREE: HD650 (kind of...)

I have a HD650 I no longer require. It has donated some parts to my HD600 but it is still suitable for the KISS mod.

• Spider is removed.
• Front foams are intact.
• Includes 2 single layers of the back foams.
• HD600 grills.
• No pads.
• No cable. I found a stock cable.

I will include some Damplifier Pro to perform the mod. I will also pay shipping.

It doesn't owe me anything, so it's free to a FRIEND in need who will put it to good use. Reply in this thread and I will choose someone in a couple of days (at my discretion... or just randomly if it becomes too hard).

Otherwise, feel free to nominate a friend/contributor/'almost made' etc who you think would appreciate some help to level up their headphones.

Edit - I'm not posting this because I want it (already have a HD600). Just wanted to acknowledge what a great thing you're doing.

 

Not a friend (yet, I hope), but I would definitely put to good use a HD650K to pair with my Modi Multibit (and pending a Vali 2 / Jotunheim "soon"). Throwing my hat out there in case there is no interest from actual friends (and for what it's worth I would rather take care of the shipping to Europe); hope it's not out of line.

I can put this to good use. I already have an HD650. If I'm chosen I would send it to my cousin in India who's never owned a high end headphone.

I can send you the shipping fees to India and money for a new pair of pads as well. (I live near London)

I am interested. I do have HD650, but I am too scared to broke mine when I am trying any mods, since I have shaky hands. Because of that, I only got back foams removed, nothing else. If I have spare HD650, I will try to mod these headphones.

Without wanting to sound like a condescending dick, I was hoping this could be something of a Saint Nicolas, orphaned kid, Christmas miracle type of deal.

I feel really fortunate to be able to own all of the shit I have at the moment, but I still remember a time when I had to scrape money together, not eat proper food etc to be able to afford my first pair of 'headphones'.
