    Old so no warranty. One channel hisses loudly. Troubleshooting says not tube or upstream. I wanted a Vali2+ anyway.

    Even out of warranty Schiit will fix it for a reasonable price. Which comes with a warranty to guarantee the repair.

    Sounds like it could be a deal for someone

    Yes, may be worth seeing if schiit can just "repair" it for you by upgrading to 2+. That or maybe you already tried that and it was a no.

    I didnt think Schiit might repair outside of warranty. I was offering up this amp as parts or as possibly somebody’s lucky day if it were an easy fix like cleaning dirty contacts. For example, I gave @Merrick my PPAS for free because no signal. Turned out as he found that it just needed a new battery.
