FS: Denon AH-D5200

I bought these on Reddit last week hoping they would work as the donors for a pair of ESX900, but the build is too different from the D5000, so up for sale. They are missing the stock pads and headband covering and instead have ZMF suede Ori pads and lambskin Pilot pad. I listened to them for a couple of hours yesterday, very comfortable, fun V shaped sound, probably would just keep them if I didn't have my heart set on the 900. I paid $400 shipped CONUS, relisted on Reddit for $390, I'll take $360 $300 inclusive of shipping(conus) and PP fees for friends/contributors here. 3rd pic shows headband without the Pilot pad.

I forgot to mention I have a suede Pilot pad and suede Eikon pads I can switch out for the lambskin/Ori if you prefer either of those.

 

You should share those pics of the guts you sent to me! They actually look a bit more robustly and durably built than the Foster OEM variants like the Fostexes, EMU, and D-000's. Never heard a -200 series Denon but Marv does have some D7200 measurements up here and they look quite promising as-is.

 

Well... These are on Black Friday sale for $210 new, so don't buy them right now. Waiting to hear about a trade on another site and if that falls through I'll sell these real cheap. Meanwhile, here's some guts:

 

Do not sell them too cheaply. Customers after order# ~3000 are now showing “problem” in order status. Guessing might mean out of stock and no update on if order will be honored in the future. And Denon now shows out of stock on website. Thus I dont think the D5200 will fall that much in used prices. Maybe a short blip from recency of BF sale but demand will still be there. Anyways, Ill buy them for cheap and so will everyone else who is too kind to say so...

 

Price dropped, not as cheap as the Black Friday deal but still 25% less than I paid 10 days ago.
