FS: Inventory Clearout

I am stepping back in a big way. Just over a year ago, the might Red Cedar River flooded my house and life, and a lot of priorities got shifted. Almost all of this stuff hasn't been touched since it was boxed up, cellophaned, and rushed upstairs before waters infiltrated. I am taking that as a solid cue that it is time to let someone else enjoy/destroy this stuff. Nothing wrong with anything in this collection, I just don't really sit down and listen to headphones anymore. Also I want to get a new turbo trainer for my bike... Hobby in, Hobby out.

HEADPHONES:

HE-500: $250. I have loved this headphone for a long time. Bought one when they came out, foolishly sold them to "upgrade" to HE-560, then nabbed a used set from @Skyline when he (probably foolishly) offered them up a year or so ago. They sound excellent, and are in the condition I received them in, plus a little more dust. SOLD.

TH-X00, Ebony - $250. I love this headphone. I raved my thoughts about it in the appropriate thread in 2017. I had the Mahogany for a while, then jumped up to Ebony when @Vansen sold his. Again, these are in nearly identical shape as when I bought them. I have at least two extra sets of dekoni pads (lambskin memory foam, and fenestrated lambskin) that I'll throw in for an extra $25 if you are interested. SOLD, pads too...

aurisonics rockets - $125. These are kickass indestructible headphones. They have been replaced for yardwork purposes by various bluetooth headphones, but still kick serious ass and cannot be destroyed. Also, I think they might be the most comfortable extended wear headphones of their kind. Discontinued, but you can read shotgunshane's thoughts on them in his super IEM thread. I bought mine from him originally, lost them outside for over a year, bought a different pair, found my originals and they still worked perfectly, and then lost the second pair. I am selling the first, well weathered set. Other than the kevlar changing color over the years, there is no change in cosmetic or performance. I include most of the two sets of case/eartip/wing accessories. I am keeping some of the bits since I might find my second set someday. SOLD! (I'm very happy these will get use!!)

akg k7xx - $75. Bought from Massdrop during the first round, got in early enough to have a serial number that is within whatever threshold mattered at that time. They are competent headphones, would be excellent for gaming if you add a modmic or something. The box has a tear in the exterior plastic (came that way), but everything else is excellent. SOLD!

plt backbeat fit 300 - $25. Bought these as an experiment when I was dipping into bluetooth. They are comfortable, sound decent, have good battery life, and maintain a good signal, but alas I don't love them, and don't need them.

SOURCES:

GeekOut v2+ infinity - $150. Oh LH Labs, so much good, so much stupid. This is an excellent product, but I never listen to it anymore. Everything works, and it is one of the first rounds once they upgraded to metal plates. I just never, never use it, even at work, which was the intended use case. SOLD.

Fiio x5 iii - $150. I bought this from @Torq via private sale over a year ago, and then my use cases shifted and I never really used it enough. Oh well. It works well, has solid battery and supports a stupidly large amount of files. SOLD.

SPEAKERS:

JBL lsr305 - $100 for the pair, plus shipping. These kick ass, but my speaker time these days is mostly kid songs over the rivas. Someone with time to enjoy these properly should take a shot. SOLD.

AMP:

Sigh.

Mjolnir 2 - $450, plus shipping. This includes two pair of tubes and LISST. I could say a LOT about this amp, but I will probably talk myself out of selling, especially for this price. I bought this from @mac404 for a very good price, and promised him there was no flipping in my future. So I guess I am duty bound. SOLD.

TH-X00 are gone, Mjolnir 2 is gone, JBLs are gone, the other pending stuff remains pending; I'm going to bed.

EDIT: I woke up and went to work, and the HE-500 and Rockets are also gone. I'm home, gonna pack some stuff, and go back to bed.

 

Wowow, these are really good prices. I hope all is well and the water damage is taken care of safely!

Also, it might be unlikely that a friend is starting out with headphones here, but someone grab that K7XX! Pair it with a hybrid tube and don't look back.

 

So, everything is gone except the fiio and the plantronics back beat. There was a possible sale, but due to international shipping madness it didn't make sense. Open to any takers on those at this point.
