FS: Kef LS50, SOLD: Elear, Digigram VX222e, Torpedo 3

I've got to pay for all the toys I've collected lately (and, more importantly, all the various house- and pet-related expenses). I'm going to really hate letting go of everything here, but such is life!

Next, a set of Kef LS50 in frosted black (with the blue cones). They look awesome with some minimal light scratching here and there. One of the cones has a slight dent (must have been the original owner, didn't notice it for awhile) which you can see in a picture where I tried to focus on it. I haven't heard any issues that would seem to be caused by this, but I will be offering these at what I think is a great price to compensate. Asking $875 shipped ConUS.

SOLD:

First, a somewhat unique Torpedo 3. This one is pretty well maxed out, maybe more than most. The parafeed caps are the spendy (and awesome) Mundorf EVO Silver/Gold in Oil variety rather than the aluminum in oil you typically see. This T3 has the tube CCS and the output CCS. It also has a TKD pot in place of the standard Alps. I think the only possible change/upgrade not present is the small choke in place of R2.

From the pics you can also see that it looks somewhat different than your average T3. I cut a hole in the top of the casing and finished it with some fancy plate metal. I believe my amp was the first to have any of the Mundorf EVO caps in place, and there was some concern about the heat they might be subject to - I solved that pretty well lol. I also had the top and bottom half of the enclosure powder-coated. All in all a flipping awesome amp. I also have some spare parts to include (extra power transformer, extra alps pot, extra tube ccs) and 3 sets of tubes aside from the standard EH 12AY7. The best is probably the GE 5-star 6072a followed by the Raytheon 12az7.

I'm asking $1250 shipped ConUS for this guy due to all the funds I've sunk into it (check out those caps!).



Up next is a great-condition Focal Elear. I've modified it with different pads (HM5 Angled Pleather) and with open-celled foam in front of the driver. I think this makes the Elear a top headphone, but I'm happy to remove the mods before sending if preferred (but seriously, way better modded!). Either way, I'll include both the original sets of pads and the HM5's unless you really just don't want them. Asking $725 shipped ConUS.




Next, a Digigram VX222e pci-e card used to get AES out of your computer. This is a killer upgrade for the relatively low outlay, imo. Asking $225 shipped ConUS



I also have a set of IsoAcoustic ISO-L8R155 stands i can include for $40 or $55 separately.

 

someone better buy that decked out T3 and gallop happily into the sunset, or imma be pissed.

 

Really intrigued by the sound card. Anyone know how these compare to the Lynx and RME cards that seems to be highly favored around here?

 

Oh God, that T3 is reeaally tempting. Too bad I'm in life-after-Andro group. Someone snag that T3!
