Musical Fidelity M1HPA Headphone Amplifier & Preamp

This is a Class A headphone amp with plenty of power and the ability to drive two headphones simultaneously. Output impedance is less than 1 ohm and the power supply is carefully regulated for incredible quiet black background. It is in very good (8/10) condition cosmetically and performs flawlessly. Very light wear consistent with normal use. It has been used sparingly powering my Sennheiser HD-600s beautifully.

It includes a pre-out so you can use it with powered loudspeakers on a desktop and also has a USB input and built in dac to listen to Youtube videos or web music. It is limited to 16/48 max and is okay but you really must use a much better dac to hear what this amp can offer.

As with most class A amps you get superb deep and controlled bass, spacious and natural mids, and silky highs. Spatial cues, reverb and depth are beautifully presented. Some have described the amp as slightly warm and I would agree, but not muddy, congested, or veiled, and absolutely non-fatiguing. Details are clearly separated and soundstage is excellent. Several key capacitors and resistors have been upgraded to further improve sound.
