Edit - SOLD. Mods, please feel free to close. Thanks!

Project Ember II. I'm the 2nd owner. Purchased from @Ice-man a while ago.

Really had no intentions of selling this as I'm rather fond of it. It's a great match with my HE-500s. But, curiosity has gotten the better of me again and I want to give the Jot a try.

Amp: Aluminum chassis. Upgraded volume knob. Great condition.

PS: Upgraded slightly from the original. Same PS, but a little more juice...it's just the next step up. I make no claims whatsoever that this improves the audio. The original PS was going into power protection mode when used with a particular tube. Probably just a bad PS, but Jeremy sent me a slightly more powerful replacement completely free of charge. Garage1217 has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced.

Tubes: Shown in amp: Amperex 6DJ8/ECC88. I was told this is an orange globe, but I don't think so. Appears to be a rebranded Mullard tube. Either way, it sounds fantastic. This is my tube of choice with the HD650 and it sounds pretty darn good with the HE-500 as well. Very nice and detailed sound with a bit of weight and punch to it. Very versatile tube.

    In Tube Picture:

Top left: 6N6P Russian Gold Grid. Tied with the Amperex as my favorite tube. Bought from Jeremy on his recommendation. Darker than the Amperex. Nice smokey sound without losing detail. Really great with my 500s.

Top Right: Ken Rad 7193 pair. You can google Frankenember to get details on this. A lot of people swear by it. The rubber bands are there to keep the top caps in place. I'm sure someone who knows what they're doing could get the caps to stay without them, but I haven't taken the time to mess with it. The setup is functional and sounds fine.

Bottom Row left to right: 6SN7 adapter which opens up the tube options considerably. RCA. GE. Admiral...this tube has a crack in the base, but it still functions. Sylvania Chrome Top.

I haven't spent a lot of time with 6SN7 tubes, except for the Sylvania. If you prefer a clean/sharp sound, then this may be the tube for you. A little too lean for my tastes, but it really stands out from the other 6SN7s in the group.

Asking $350 for the whole set, shipping included. PP gift would be nice. Friends only for now.

Also very interested in a Jot if anyone wants to work something out.

    Thanks!

Nice package! I would have been interested from what I read in @atomicbob's synergy thread until I heard the Jot last week. GLWS
