    Small correction here: the inputs are indeed XLR, but you can safely use an RCA-XLR converter to use this amp with single-ended sources.

    This is incredibly tempting. I've always wanted to give estats a good shake (have only tried entry level offerings). If I wasn't as happy as I am with my current setup, I'd sell my ZDS and Auteur and buy this.

    Just a little suggestion. I've seen several driver failures or at least channel imbalance for several unlucky sr009. Of course this is weird, because lower stax (entry-level lambdas) always showed fantastic quality control. Anyway, this kind of potential misfortune for $$$ gears has been a big psychological threshold when shopping higher stax.

    That said, how about attaching left and right channel frs to evidence functional perfectness? I think it can easily differentiate your 009 from other 009 deals currently seen in HF, Audiogon, and/or USAudiomarts.

    As a member of #teamPlanar, and e-stat virgin, I’ve long wanted to try these. But I think I’m too buried in DACs at the moment. Stupid Q: Is the dip at 7k at all audible?
