Any comments on if the Geek Pulse XFi is a $2300 combo unit or a $700 one. Some people that got them in the crowdfunded campaign are selling them for <$700, but LH is selling it for > $2000. Hard to tell where it falls in the sound quality hierarchy. Thoughts? Opinions? Anyone heard/compared it?

    Thanks

I own the Pulse Xfi and definitely think it is a very good value at $700, based on sound quality, versatility, and size. $2300? No way. One reason they are selling so low on Headfi is that the selling rules don't allow for selling above what one paid for the unit. Also LHLabs has taken a beating based on how they have handled their campaigns and that has biased people against the Pulse line. I don't know of many combo units under $1000 that would be dramatically better.
