All of us who are suffering from personal longevity should vote yes.

My high-frequency hearing loss loves these 'phones.
Oh yeah, I forgot. But hey, a technicality!

I don't detest the aesthetics: stuff should look nice. I detest hifi-pricing PC technology.

Yet another vote for Bifrost 2 as a E,V nominee.

It's stupidly good not just by Schiit standards, but competes with DACs many times its price and embarrasses many of them. I legit think it's the best price/performance ratio in the DAC space. With the modularity of the design leading to upgradeability, it's hard not to think it won't be a L nominee in the future.

The fact that they provide a free software OS that can be installed on a bog-standard Intel NUC with relative ease is awesome.

Roon could also be an L nominee. I've been a user for a couple years now and the level of improvement in that time has been impressive.

Please don't include my nominations to the final tally as these are just stuff I picked out based on community enthusiasm and products I think are worthy of an award.

    Headphones:
RAAL Requisite SR1A (Excellence) - For the past 10 years headphone manufacturers haven't produced a new flagship headphone that could seriously challenge the market. Sennheiser, Audeze, HiFiMAN and others may have come out with higher priced headphones since but the performance of them are mostly sidegrades to their former flagships 10 years ago, in some cases even steps backward. The RAALs represent to me a serious contender on shaking things up in the kilobuck flagship market. It's still extremely expensive for a headphone but doesn't approach Utopia or Susvara prices nor does it require spending a ton of money on amplifiers to properly drive them. This is a big leap forward in headphones worthy of a Golden Schlong. This is the only headphone I would purchase if I sought an upgrade from the HE-6.

    Amplifiers:
Schiit Aegir (Excellence and Value) - I hesitated on this one as it's more of a niche product for truly high sensitivity speakers but this seems to me Jason's finest amplifier design to date. Whatever you may think of Stereophile, they have this lowly $799 priced amp in their "A" class list which goes shoulder to shoulder with other power amplifiers in the 5 to 6 figure range. 'Nuff said.

    Honorable mentions:
Schiit Bifrost 2 (Excellence and Value) - Maybe I have become so accustomed to Schiit products and the value they represent that I've become jaded towards giving this a nomination. A mini-Gungnir Multibit A1 with non-gimped SE, with Unison USB and potential to upgrade cards/firmware, at $699. But since this is a miniaturized higher-end Schiit DAC with new USB implementation/upgradibility, I just don't see this as such a truly exceptional product to give it a Golden Schlong, which I feel is an award that should have more stringent requirements to set products apart from the crowd.

HiFiMAN HE-6Se *Adorama $699 deal only* (Value) - Considering the cost of the higher priced HiFiMANs and Audezes this represents an excellent value for a TOTL Planar headphone. This is a no-brainer for someone who has a speaker system and wants a headphone. If you need an amp/pre-amp but want to maintain its value status: Saga/Vidar for another $1k. But since this is a deal from a 3rd party seller this don't deserve an award but it's something worth mentioning in the land of multi-kilobuck headphones.

    Future Schlonger:
Focal Utopia (Longevity) - I see the Utopias as being a candidate for a longevity award and maybe value if the used prices keep falling down. Maybe it'll reach the used prices of the HD800, but I'd imagine this is one of those headphones that will still have a dedicated following like the HE-6 for years to come.

If we can have Honorable Mentions, I'd like to add the Beezar assembled ECP T4. I'd rate it E, but not sure how it would compare with a DNA given the price, but definitely worth a mention.

My value Schlong goes to Senn HD 598 used. Not sure if a used item can be golden or official Schlong. However:

Senn HD 598 used in Europe @ 75€ in excellent condition: E,V,E,L - Excellent value at entry level.

I second (or third, or fourth?) all the recommendations of the Asgard 3 for value. I haven't listened to many high-end amps so I admittedly might not know what all of them can do, but this guy is consistently producing pretty amazing sound. Feels like a real step up from the Magni 3, and at a really affordable cost, too.

I nominate the Schiit Bifrost 2 for excellence and value. I’m a little biased because I have one, but I don’t think I’m alone in calling it an exceptional DAC and a bargain.

I also nominate the Sennheiser HD800 for longevity and excellence. I had a chance to listen to these a couple months ago and have to say, it’s worth every penny.

Finally, I nominate the Schiit Lyr 3 for excellence and Longevity. This one won’t likely win, but for a tube hybrid it has amazing sound, it’s cheap to roll, it will drive almost anything, and it’s reasonably priced for what it is.
