Ok so you get hit by a slightly larger brick wall going however fast. Neither one is going to be good.

that is one sexy wrangler! I think that’s the nicest looking 4 door I’ve seen. Congrats on owning a badass new rig. I want one now! But I think if I got a wrangler again I’d still get the 2 door since it would be an extra speciality vehicle and I’d want the full wrangler experience. Including being pulled sideways towards semi trucks when they pass or you pass them on the freeway. A pretty uncomfortable experience but part of owning a wrangler.

My dream vehicle lineup would be

    • Yet to be determined station wagon because Subaru stopped making them. Maybe the 2020 Volkswagen Golf sportwagen or Subaru Impreza wagon though neither one is long enough.
    • Subaru BRZ
    • Jeep Wrangler
All in stick shift of course. Covers all the bases. Travel car, daily/fun driver and off-road fun driver.

A 2-door Wrangler is kind of a stupid, impractical vehicle. It rolls a lot, the solid axles make for a rough ride off road, it's got a stiff suspension that can be a little uncomfortable on bad paved roads, and it has nowhere near enough cargo space if the back seat is in.

I love mine and am highly unlikely to sell it.

This is us a couple weekends ago on a trail in California. Mine is the red Jeep in the background. Both it and this tan one are 2-door 6 speed manual JKs. My buddy's is pretty built up, mine is a bone stock JK Sport with 32" all terrain tires on it, but it's gotten through every trail so far. The only upgrade high on my priority list is better headlights. I hear the new LED lights on the JL are decent, but the stock halogens on the JK are terrible.

I don’t get the hate for Wrangler stock lights. They are so much better than any Japanese or German car I’ve driven within the last few years.

I did have to realign mine. They were off a bit straight from the factory.

I'm curious, do you have the newer LED headlights or the older halogens on your JK? Mine's a 2016 and has the standard halogen lights and it's pretty bad. The only car I've owned that was worse was an old Chevy with broken headlight mounts. I've been meaning to mount modern LED lamps in the Jeep for a while but keep putting it off since I drive so little and don't like driving at night. My friend has a set of JW speaker lights on his now and it's a major improvement over my lights.

I’ve got halogens on a 2017 JK and 2018 JLU. Maybe I just got used to crappy headlights over the years.

It’s super easy to mount extra lights to the bumper. Or at least it was with the old style bumper. I don’t know about the new stupid looking fancy one.

I am so envious...this is one of my dream cars but it's so unpractical that i won't ever be able to justify it. Just keep those pics coming.

You could make a base JL look like that with different rims and tires. Maybe a 2 inch lift also. There’s probably a limited edition package available that’s sold at a crazy premium.
