Decided to open a thread for Leben amps. Recently got a CS600.

They sound pretty good, and for the price, around 2k USD used, its amazing. Especially the vintage looking build. Just gorgeous.

I also have a question for the amp guru's here.

Many people seem to use KT120's with them and apparently its the best tube for it, however, according to the maker, Mr Yoshi Hontani and he says “As CS600 is not designed to use KT120/KT150, we are unable to guarantee negative effects after many years use. We also feel the sound of KT120 in CS600 is not Leben-like sound…”

From my understanding, the filament current for KT88 (which is fine for the amp) is 1.6A. KT120 is 1.8A and KT150 is 2.0A.

People seem to use the KT120 just fine, the longest ive seen is 3 years.

Will i blow up my amp if i use the KT120 or KT150 for a long time. Im asking mainly for the KT150 as i have a quad lying around.

The KT150 probably gets starved a bit, but shouldn't blow anything up.
Is it less warmpoo than the CS300?

Hard to know if any damage could occur without knowing the specs of the power supply.
