Seems like we didn't have a dedicated thread for Nick's amp, so here it is. I'm not going to post any impressions for now, since you guys are already aware of how it sounds.

Nick responded to my email, and this is what he had to say:

Looks like we won't be seeing any new amps from him for a while :(.

I've read a ton of good things about the Lecks over time, but going back and looking at that specs it kinda surprises me how "little" power they put out compared to recent portable amps by the likes of GO and Oppo...

Is it just a spec war in a way or a bid to satisfy planars and more transportable setups (rather than truly portable ones)? OTOH I really haven't seen much with the breadth of connectivity options that UHA-6 has, I still kinda want one cause of it.

I've got the mk.ii and have heard the oppo and it's not even close. The leckerton smokes it. Two of the best amps I've owned is this one and the portaphile 627 micro.

I will say that the UHA-6S Mk.II brought my Empire Ears Spartan IEMs to life. They're the only single ended source I currently have that exhibits no noise with those IEMs (I've ordered a balanced cable for them with Impact Audio but haven't received the cables yet, so for now I have to use them single ended).

Aside from the noise with other sources, I had found the Spartans to be a bit muddy and overly bassy, but the Leckerton tightened everything up and provided the neutral tonal balance that is supposed to be the signature of the Spartans.

Do you know what op amp was in it? Do you mean as both a DAC/amp or just an amp compared to the HA-2? I really liked the HA-2 so you've piqued my interest

I only heard the HA-2 at Canjam but it sounded very dull to me.

I'm currently using the Leckerton at work, where I normally use the Vali 2. They're pretty evenly matched, two very good amps.

never used it as a Dac. Op amp I believe is the 8610. I had the pico, rsa p51, 627 micro, the this amp, & this is the only one I kept. It's that good

I picked up a UHA-6S mk2 (ADA4627-1A) from thegunner and have been listening to it for a while now with a Modi 2U, SE535 and UE18. I'll probably be labeled a heretic, but the bass on this thing kind of bothers me. I'm terrible with reviewer-speak, but I'm hearing it as having a bit of a soft hazy glow that can make things sound muddy. I think it improves a bit on high gain but then I get hiss through my UE18s. Maybe it's not noticeable on brighter IEMs or as much of an issue with acoustic music, maybe my ears are broken, but I think I'll be switching back to my Magni2U.

Has anyone talked to Nick recently? His amps are out of stock. I didn't want to barrage him. Is there an eta?

I've been using the alternate Schiit drivers (1.03) for my Modi 2 until last week when I got a new laptop that allowed me to install the standard drivers (1.16). My ears tell me they cleared up some of the issues I attributed to the UHA-6s. I didn't expect them to make any difference whatsoever. Is this a thing or is it in my head?
